The first thing we do at Baker & Associates Architects is listen. This, along with our ability to communicate with our clients, is the hallmark of our firm. Combining our experience and skills with our clients' short-term and long-term goals, we become partners in the design and construction process. We are proud of this comprehensive process, as well as our excellent reputation in meeting aggressive schedules and budgets, and providing the full range of services our clients need to meet their goals.
A principal is actively involved in every project from the onset. Beyond the principal is a multidisciplinary project team that provides specialized attention and service tailored to our clients' needs. Teamwork isn't just a buzzword at Baker & Associates Architects. It's the way we do business.
Technology
Many architects, even the AIA, promote computer usage as an additional fee, but not at Baker & Associates Architects. With the overwhelming amount of information that needs to be continuously analyzed and coordinated throughout a project's life, the computerization of all aspects of design is necessary to keep costs down. Therefore, our offices are equipped with computer aided design and drafting (CADD), AutoCAD 2007, and computerized specifications, which allow the design team to evaluate concepts quickly and produce quality documents at a reasonable fee. CADD enables the firm and our consultants to produce precise drawings that result in lower construction bids for the project.
Integration
Baker & Associates Architects believes in utilizing the appropriate amount of invested capital to produce a Return On Investment for our clients in the shortest amount of time. In order to facilitate cost containment, the firm offers a number of special services to clients including Value Engineering which assists the client in the decision making process. Multiple design options are analyzed and evaluated by the Architect for the client's selection. All selections are agreed to, based upon initial cost, life cycles costs, maintenance, material availability, and practicality.
Some architectural firms may be sidetracked by theoretical and aesthetic explorations, but Baker & Associates Architects focuses on refining workable design concepts into custom tailored solutions. Creativity and innovation always play important roles, but not to the extent that the project becomes a testing ground. Alternatives are always considered and discussed, but only within the agreed-upon framework of our clients' priorities. There is no learning curve at Baker & Associates Architects.
